A Gentry Farm Wedding – Danville, Virginia

Holly and Luke were married on December 1st, 2018 at Gentry Farms in Danville, Virginia and these two were my LAST WEDDING OF THE YEAR!!! *insert champagne poppin’ emoji here*

I am SO excited that I got to close out my 2018 wedding year with Holly and Luke! I couldn’t have imagined a better couple to end the year with! You guys, seriously though, Holly is literally like…my biggest HEATHER CHIPPS PHOTOGRAPHY hype girl EVER! Honestly! I swear, she just says “work that magic” and “Heather knows what she’s doing, let her do it!” and is just so head over heels in love with all of her photos. I mean, I can totally pretend it’s all me, don’t get me wrong, I *know* how to take a good photo, technically speaking, but REALLY speaking….it’s ALL about the couple’s magic itself! Which, Holly and Luke proved alone that they had during their engagement session itself (you can find that here).

Moving into the wedding day itself, we knew it would likely be a chilly day. I mean, it’s December wedding after all and hence, the fur and the adorable throws for each of the bridesmaids. What we didn’t know, is whether it was going to rain or not. Of course…it was little stressful not knowing for sure, but what we did know…is the fog that rolled in was going to create some REALLY cool photos and create a “different” look than most weddings. And we ALL know the now Mrs. Covington is ALL about it being different! And different it was!

There was so much joy and anticipation for this day y’all! I remember specifically, just 30 minutes before the ceremony, Holly saying “NO RAIN PLAN” and I am SO glad she did. The entire day was magical, but that foggy ceremony was hands down one of my favorite ceremony’s ever! As Holly walked towards Luke, him clearly trying to not shed tears, we listened to some oh so sweet vows and the two sealed the deal with a kiss and walked back down the aisle as HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!
