A Plantation on Sunnybrook Wedding
Erin and Rob said their sweet vows together on June 3rd, 2017 and had a such a gorgeous Plantation on Sunnybrook wedding! And boy was it SUNNY!!!
Ohhhh you guys! Erin and Rob are MARRIED!!! I don’t think we all could be any more happy for them. They really are the definition of balance when it comes to coming together as one. I’ve been with these two through their engagement session (you can find that here) and Erin’s OH SO BEAUTIFUL bridal portraits (you can find that here). So, I like to think I have gotten to know them both pretty well and just adore them to pieces!
Erin (you may recognize her from the WSLS10 morning news channel) is SUCH a fun spirit! Her personality fills the room and she has such a fierce smile and laugh that comes with it. Rob on the other hand…he’s a bit more reserved I feel. A little quiet at first, but knows how to have a GOOD meaningful conversation and as I found out later in the evening…HE CAN DANCE!!! So, when I say the two really balance each other out, I mean that. They really couldn’t be a better fit for each other.
Going into their wedding day…it could not have been more beautiful. The sun was out and it was just about 82 degrees. Everyone was in pure bliss awaiting the arrival of Erin to make her journey down the aisle. Finally that moment came and it was SO so good! Now they are HUSBAND AND WIFE!!! YAY!!!!
When and where did you both meet?
We always joke that we met in the back seat of a car…which is kind of exactly what happened. We were set up by several of our friends but neither of us realized we were being set up. Erin’s friend from college and Rob’s friend from soccer picked us both up to go to the same party. When Erin came to get in the car, Rob was already in the back seat and we pretty much hit it off instantly. That was two years ago and we’ve been inseparable since.
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?Â
Erin: From the first night, I knew that Rob was different. But the time I really knew he was the one was a weekend that we got snowed in with the dogs. During the time we spent playing in the snow with both of our crazy dogs and snuggled up on the couch watching movies, I was certain that was the man I wanted to marry.
Rob: We had only been dating a short time but there was a month we went out of town together every weekend– to Nashville with friends, to visit a college buddy in Charleston, a trip to JMU so Erin could see where I went to college, and to a wedding on the Eastern Shore. During all of those long drives and weekends together we never ran out of things to talk about and it felt like we had known each other forever. That’s when I knew.
What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?Â
Erin: I love Rob’s sense of humor. I know I can always count on him to have me laughing so hard I’m crying on the good days and to cheer me up on the not so good days.
Rob: I love Erin’s bubbly personality. I feel like she can talk to anyone and put a smile on their face. But my favorite thing about Erin is that she always makes me laugh.
We woke up at 3 a.m. one Saturday in May 2016 and drove to the Peaks of Otter. We hiked up the bus trail in the pitch dark to see the sunrise from the top. Right as the sun came up, Rob asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!
