A Presbyterian Church of Fredericksburg Wedding

Andrea and Chris were married on June 2nd, 2018 at the Presbyterian Church of Fredericksburg, Virginia and had the most sweet and oh so precious afternoon luncheon with all their closest family and friends.

When I met Andrea and Chris during their engagement session (you can find that here), which is honestly a whole story and a half of itself, haha! Anyway, when I met them for the first time, it was truly like meeting up with old friends. I mean, you don’t normally just hike up a mountain during a first meeting, haha! It was a blast, and after their INCREDIBLE session, I was SO excited for the future with them!

Little did I know, not only was Andrea literally the sweetest person on planet earth, but I know exactly where she got it from, too! Her super kind, and oh so warm hearted, parents of course! I met them during Andrea’s bridal portraits (you can find those here). As soon as I walked into the church, Andrea’s mom greeted me with the sweetest hug! Family is everything to me, so when a bride’s family makes me feel like their own, my heart BURSTS!

After spending such wonderful moments with Andrea and Chris, the wedding day was finally knocking at the door. Unfortunately, the weather forced them to retreat on the plans of an all outdoor wedding (SIGH), BUT thankfully with the calmness of family love, support, and knowing that no matter what they were getting married – everything came together so beautifully and they became husband and wife before our very eyes!

Their Love Story

When and where did you both meet?

We met in high school (2011) right after Andrea moved to Virginia. We didn’t date in high school but we were best friends. We started dating the Monday after we graduated.

When did you know he was the one and vice versa? 

Andrea: It was a progressive “knowing,” I would say. His friends respected him, he spoke well of others, he was smart and hard-working and kind – all those things were obvious before we even graduated from high school. But over the first couple years of dating and all the fun we had and all the burdens we shared and memories we made, I realized I couldn’t have been given a better life partner than him!

Chris: I knew she was the one while we were in Alaska on a family vacation in 2015. We were boating around the lake just the two of us, and I said “I love you” for the first time. The sky was sunny, the lake was flat and quiet. It was perfect.

What is the one thing you both love each other the most for?

Andrea: I love his gentleness. Chris is incredibly patient with everyone and it impacts every area of our lives. He is an incredible leader at work, a kind sibling to his brothers and sisters, and the most loving of life partner’s to me! Every day he teaches me how to treat others better.

Chris: The way she loves to serve. She serves the Lord, me, and others so well. Everyone is sure to be blessed when she’s around and she’s so willing to do whatever needs to be done.
