Samantha + Justin

A Rustic Glam Wedding

Samantha and Justin had their oh so pretty pretty RUSTIC Glam wedding on October 21st, 2017!

So, basically almost as SOON as Samantha and I met each other during their engagement session (you can find that here) we were literally instant best friends. I mean, we were both wearing the EXACT same nail color for crying out loud. I am not kidding either. We have a picture to prove it, haha! Now, with that being said, I got a SMALL taste of what their wedding would be like through all the details she sent me, and my gracious her GORG bridal portraits (you can find that here). You’re probably reading that “rustic glam” title like, what is that? Haha! Well, let me explain!

Anyone that knows Justin, knows he’s the biggest, sweetest, always laughing, and regular ol’ goof ball just like myself. He’s also the reason for the more rustic side of things. Now, anyone that knows SAMANTHA knows homegirl is straight GLAM 100% of the time. I mean, she may or may not also be a MAKEUP ARTIST if that tells you anything. So, when she told me what her plans were for decor and all that jazz, I was like…”Okay…okay…I feel ya…really I do” and I promise I did! However, I didn’t know it was going to turn out even BETTER then I imagined. Everything was so gorgeous you guys!!!

I am honestly not sure if Rustic Glam was a thing before this, but she definitely made this wedding pinterestable for RUSTIC GLAM weddings moving forward. I could ramble on and on, but really what made this day ever better was the LOVE you guys. Tears, smiles, laughs, hugs, and just seriously all the FEELS!!! I am so lucky to have a friend in these two, but I am even more honored to have been the one to capture it. Oh, they made my job EASY!

Their Love Story

When and where did you both meet?

We both met basically on the ball field. We have known each other for a LONG time and have always been around each other because his dad coached me, his mama was my principal, and sister was my teammate! We never thought of each other more than just friends that gave each other a hard time, but one day just randomly talking to each other, we just never stopped talking, growing and seeing each other and today here we are, madly in love.

When did you know he was the one and vice versa?

Samantha: I knew Justin was the one honestly about a couple of months into dating. I know it sounds completely cliche, but it just felt like we were here on earth to find each other and we did Long before we knew we loved each other. We just had this chemistry that was unbelievable where not only were we dating, but it was like we were long time best friends and lucky me, isn’t that who we want to marry?! Our best friend?!

Justin: When we had our first big fight. We fought and didn’t talk for a little while and it killed me knowing she didn’t want to speak to me at the moment. I love when we talk to each other and the silence kills me. Knowing that I wanted to talk to her even though we were both angry showed me just how special she was and still is to me.

What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?

Samantha: I love Justin for his such positive outlook on life and myself. I’m often my biggest critic but he’s my biggest cheerleader and supporter. He will never let me stay mad at anyone or anything, no matter how bad I want to be, and will never let me doubt myself. He’s my perfect balance and I am forever grateful to have him to keep me grounded.

Justin: I love the way she makes me feel. Like I’m the only man in the world. She always kisses me goodnight and tells me she loves me. It’s the little things that mean so much.

How did he propose?

I went on a girls trip with some friends and little did I know he was plotting our engagement. I got home from my trip, went to work and worked a LONG day. I came home to him and his dad working on the lawn. I went inside while they finished. He came in and couldn’t sit still as well as had to give me a play by play of everything he was doing. That should have been my giveaway that something was up. He says he’s about to take a shower, but for some reason let’s the dogs follow him, that’s a big no no in our house, again, should have been my give away. Then our youngest dog barrels out the room with something on him. I assumed he got into something and was in trouble because he was only a year a half old, so I get up to scold him and I see it’s a ribbon. On the ribbon is a piece of paper. I grab it and begin ready the sweetest letter, then looked up and see Justin on one knee. I started laughing and crying because I was just in such shock. Obviously said yes, and it’s been a whirl wind ever since!
