A VIRginia International Raceway Wedding
Meghan and Trevor were married on September 8th, 2018 at VIRginia International Raceway.
“Isn’t she lovely?” a quote Meghan’s sweet mama, Amy, used to describe her oh so proud share of the sneak peeks of the wedding day I posted. There were so many moments during the wedding day that I watched as both mother’s looked at their children in complete happiness as they watched the two become husband and wife. After losing their original venue, Oakhaven Properties (you can view their engagement photos from there here), to a tornado back in the spring, there was nothing nobody wanted more than for Meghan and Trevor to have a wedding day with such ease, and such calmness. And that’s exactly what they had, the entire day.
While Meghan and Trevor of course dreamt of having their wedding at a place that is so special to them, it was unbelievable how beautifully every big and small detail came together for them at VIR Raceway. When I arrived, I walked in to a room full of loud laughter and ladies getting their hair and makeup done. There was smell of fresh flowers by Amanda Day Rose all throughout the room and precious hand picked bridal details were prepped for me to take photos of, including a precious ring from Meghan’s Grandmother. The feeling that was ever present, was “this is happening” and happening it was!
As the day moved along, at what felt like a blink of the eye, Meghan walked down the aisle to Trevor. His head dropped, and looked back up, and dropped again. Almost in disbelief that this day had finally come. As he brought his head back up again, Meghan was standing right there before his very own eyes. Both smiling the biggest smiles you could imagine. After sharing vows, and putting hand written notes into a lock box, Meghan and Trevor were given the GO to kiss (see what I did there…because…it’s a racetrack, haha!) and became HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!
SO happy for you two and I am so happy I got to be a part of your day, and have made friends along the way. You two are something special! Not to mention, just fun as all!!! I mean, not everyone dances to Purple Rain as their first dance quite like you two did! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
When and where did you both meet?
We met YEARS ago thinking it was a one time thing at sweet frog in Danville in 2011.
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
Meghan: I knew Trevor was the one when I was watching him wash dishes at his parent’s house years ago. I thought to myself “Oh my gosh, this is him…I’m going to marry him”
Trevor: Trevor does not have one moment when he fell in love. He claims “he just knew”
What is the one thing you both love each other the most for?
Meghan: I love Trevor for his fun spirit. There is NEVER a dull moment. Trevor loves life and his fun loving character is contagious. Anyone is lucky to have him as a friend.
Trevor: I love Meghan for her goofy side and her laugh. I love her because she makes life fun.
How did he propose?
Trevor proposed at the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, Nevada during the water show to the song “24K magic” by Bruno Mars. We named one of our dogs Bruno.
