A Gentry Farm Wedding
Lelia and Brandon…Oh! These two sweet souls had their classic rustic Gentry Farm wedding on May 27th, 2017.
You guys…Lelia…was a SENIOR of mine!!! Ahhhh! It literally feels like just yesterday that her and I were snapping her senior portraits. The funny part is that Brandon was always involved too because they have been dating since HIGH SCHOOL y’all!!! Isn’t that just precious?! I just love them to pieces. When I think of two people that couldn’t be more perfect for each other…I think of these two. Also, we may or may not have counted how many times I have photographed them over the years and the magic number was SIX including their wedding day. So fun!
Gentry Farm is known for it’s fun relaxed and country atomosphere. Anyone that knows Lelia and Brandon know that they are nothing short of both of things too. They couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue. With teal bridesmaid’s dresses, beautiful florals, and lots of rustic wood decor around, they said their “I do’s” and the rest was SO much fun!!!
It was filled with lots of laughs because I find that the fun people they surround themselves with, just feed off of having a GOOD time if you know what I mean. Especially mostly everyone being Halifax County natives for the most part, myself included. It was for sure going to be a BLAST of a wedding and it was my friends. It was!
Enjoy!
When and where did you both meet?
Brandon and I met when we were kids at vacation bible school. He was friends with my cousin so we grew up knowing each other. He always seemed to find his way to me, Brandon was quite the flirt. We became really good friends as we got older, and then when I started high school we decided to give it a shot.
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
We’ve never had a doubt that we weren’t meant to be together!
What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?
Brandon: I love how she can pick me up when I’m down and makes me smile just from the look on her face.
Lelia: I love Brandon’s kind heart. He is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I am happy. He can brighten my darkest days. I love that smile!
Brandon took me to Gatlinburg TN to propose. He had everything planned out and for two of our best friends to surprise me and video the whole thing. He was extremely nervous. I thought that he was sick from the ride up there. We went to dinner, he told me to pick so of course I chose Cracker Barrel. After we left dinner we went to walk around the town of Gatlinburg and look at all of the Christmas lights. Towards what I thought was the end of the night we were walking back to the hotel, Brandon spotted our friends waiting across the street at our hotel at the site where he was going to propose. So naturally he didn’t want me to see them, so he says let’s walk in the grass because it’s softer and my feet won’t hurt as bad – haha! We got to the hotel and he stopped me in my tracks and got down on one knee. It was one of the happiest moments of my life!
