Meet Kathryn and Forrest!
You guessed it! They are ENGAGED!!! And I feel like I could really type an entire BOOK about how wonderful our time spent together yesterday was, but I will save that for their wedding blog post in November. When we first met to see if I was the fit for them as their photographer, we instantly clicked! We talked more about our interests and our lives than we did about booking me as their photographer. I mean, it was wonderful! I didn’t think it could get better, but it truly did and makes me so extremely EXCITED for their wedding!!!
We did their gorgeous North Carolina engagement photos on Forrest’s family’s little slice of heaven by Kerr Lake. They live in this precious and so full of history area that is just…BREATH TAKING! I wish you guys could have been on the golf cart while we road around all these fun side roads and explored different locations. The great thing about all of the places we took photos though, is that they were all VERY meaningful to Kathryn and Forrest. Which is a HUGE part of making photos come to LIFE!
I know how to take a good photo according to my camera histogram. Not saying all my photos are better than any one else’s photographs. I am saying that I know how to take a well rounded photo based off of camera settings alone. Now, when it comes to taking good portraits, it has SO much to do with the people in front of the camera. Their CHEMISTRYÂ is what matters and it REALLY shows in camera and their willingness to be so vulnerable in front of a person they hardly know. I think any photographer will agree to that. And my oh, my… Kathryn and Forrest are truly blessed with the love they found for each other.
Special “THANK YOU” to Forrest’s parents for such a wonderful evening and dinner yesterday! Those wings are still on my mind…
Enjoy!!!
