A Gentleman’s Ridge Farmstead Wedding
These two were married on October 22nd, 2016 at the GORGEOUS Gentleman’s Ridge Farmstead just outside of Danville, Virginia.
When I first met Amy and Ben at their engagement session (you can find that here) they were a little shy, but it didn’t take them long at all to warm up. They started rocking every single pose I put them in. The natural emotions these two had that day…I was blown away! So, I could only imagine then how their wedding would be…and it was…10 times as emotional and SO precious you guys!!!
When Amy originally contacted me back in January about her wedding, I unfortunately did not have her original date open. Well, Amy wasn’t having that. To my surprise, she straight up changed her wedding date around MY availability! I am still so honored that they did that. I literally still can’t believe it, but I am SO glad they did because their wedding day was perfection!
One thing I know for absolute sure about these two are boy are they ROMANTIC!!! Ah! Seriously their portraits were out of this world and it’s all because they share such a strong love not only for each other but most importantly their faith. Gracious me the entire day was on a different cloud. Amy’s girls where all so sweet and SO good to her on her wedding day. They took care of every need big and small. ALL of Amy’s details had me ahhhhing and ooooohing! I could go on for days about everything I LOVED so much about this wedding, but I will let you look for yourselves!
When and where did you both meet?
Danville Community College in 2012
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
Amy: I knew he was the one when the first time he met my family was on Thanksgiving day, he came over to my house full of my closest family and didn’t shy away…he fit right in!
Ben: I knew she was the one when I thought that nobody could care for me like she did. She made me feel like I have never felt before. When my whole world revolved around her, I knew she was the one.
What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?
He proposed on Christmas Day in 2015. He had 3 plans before this one but it rained that day. He had made me a chalk board menu for the kitchen trimmed in my favorite Tiffany Blue of course…on the flip side he had written “Will you Marry Me”….and of course I said yes.
