Mikaela & Ford were MARRIED on April 1st, 2023 at the STUNNING (I mean, absolutely STUNNING you guyssssssss) Barn of Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Mikaela and Ford’s wedding kicked off my 2023 wedding season AND there was NO better way to do it than to do it with close friends AND being able to attend as an actual GUEST after first dances. Yeah, you read that right. An actual guest! When Mikaela hired me, that was one of her main requests and I said…uhmmmm I can make that happen! So, HUGE shout out to my second photographer, Jessica, for taking over the show (SO lucky to have you girlie)! It was seriously such an incredible way to be able to kick back and celebrate with these two and friends on the dance floor. Literally. The. Best.

This was my first time photographing a Barn of Chapel Hill wedding and I was nothing short of absolutely impressed. The entire wedding day was so tediously planned, and no detail went untouched. The florals alone by Christine with Wild Flora……I mean……….y’all KNOW I was all over that! Haha! I knew it was going to be a night to remember and a night it absolutely was!

This wedding is not only SO special to me because of the friendship I share with these two, but also because…in case you missed it on my social media, this is the FIRST wedding I have blogged on my website since 2019. You may think that’s kind of wild, but there are reasons why I took a break, and you can read about that on my social media, but just know that I am SO excited to be sharing a FULL wedding day with you guys in this way again. My work over the years has grown tremendously and I am so excited to be sharing with you a much fuller picture of how I see and capture a wedding day.
